Ron Emmons

I am saddend by the loss of Pastor Ron. I served as the chaplain for the Police Department untill he retired. He was a namesake to the Orting community. I would like to see others rally behind my request to change Orting Station to Emmons Station in his memory.

This would be a good way to honor a person of God who served the Orting Community.  Since my wife and I have moved, I cannot be there to personally rally behind this change.

As much as we all truly loved Ron, we must remember that the community already voted on the name of Orting Station. I believe we should honor that. We could name something else in Ron's honor, such as the Orting Public Safety Building. Naming our police station after Ron would be more appropriate.

I think it would be wonderful for you to name the station in memory of Ron. Ron gave so much of himself to the community and county. He will be missed by many.
