Carls 26 mile walk

On Monday March 29th at 7:30 AM Carl will set out from Mt. Rainer down the foothills trail into Orting.

He is walking all 26 miles in support of his brother Steve's family - who are now alone after his brother Steve passed away from pancreatic cancer last month.

At the Around The Corner Cafe, there are boards with time slots on them and people are guessing how long it will take Carl to walk all 26 miles.

The boards have time slots ranging in time from 3 hours to 9 hours and 59 minutes on them. The person who correctly guesses on the board - how long it will take him to reach Orting - will win prizes ranging from Dinner for two at Los Pinos, to a weather/emergency radio donated by Dan Bunker at BSC.

The hope is that people will donate a dollar (or more) per slot and each dollar raised will go directly to Steves two young daughters and widow.

The day will end with Carl at the Around The Cafe where spagetti will be the meal of the evening (my guess is he will eat a TON of noodles after that long walk!)! For those people who want spagetti that night - the cafe will not charge any amount, but just ask that you make a donation to Steves family that night. We will start serving spagetti at 3 PM!
