BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLIES

It’s that time of year again… the time where every store is filled to the brim with backpacks and paper, pencils, and school supplies galore! Whether you have a child currently in school or not- it’s hard to miss the fact that another year of school is right around the corner.
Communities in Schools of Orting is once again holding the “Back to School Drive”, collecting supplies and stuffing backpacks to give to the families of Orting that might be struggling to provide everything their student needs for the year. We invite you to participate in helping the students of Orting succeed this year!
Boxes are located around town, where you can drop off supplies. (Curves, Orting Methodist Church, Abundant Life Church, Around the Corner Café, Keybank, & CISO Café.) We are looking for bigger backpacks, binders, paper, pencils, markers, rulers, scissors, glue sticks, erasers, and colored pencils, etc… Donations are also welcomed! A $10 donation will provide one student with a backpack and all their supplies.
If you are wondering how you will manage all the necessary items for your children this school year- please come to our give-away event August 11th, 10am-12pm. We have backpacks for students enrolling K-12th grade in the Orting School District.
