This is the kind of thing that needs to be reported to the police- perhaps in your case it would be the Pierce County sheriff....has that happened?
People who do horrible things like this to animals can escalate to doing horrible things to other people. Are you sure it wasn't another animal that attacked and killed the little dog? I am very sorry that you experienced this. It must have been horribly traumatic for your family.

Teri,

I was so horrified to read about Chanell's horrific death. I pray that you and your family will find solace in knowing that she's in a better place. I hope that her murderer(s) are found soon and are punished for this unspeakable crime.

I was outside yesterday and a girl was running from the direction of a greenbelt that you can go through to get to card road. she looked scared and I asked her what was wrong. She said she saw a black man in a black suit crouching in the bushes right by the road watching her. I don't know if she was telling the truth but she would be one great actor if she was lying. And it might just be some guy looking for their kid or something innocent too. Hoope this helps in catching the guy.

I am so sorry about your dog and wish you and your family well. I lost 2 dogs this year myself, one was in the family for 15 years the other was in the family for 3 years and they died the same day, so I do understand how the animals are part of the family and hope that other people do as well. With that I do agree that people around Orting need to watch there pets constantly. Thank you for sharing and again I sympothize with you.
