Orting Food Bank Needs New Home

It was a great day when the board and volunteers of the Orting Food Bank learned they had received a grant to buy a new facility. Everything looked great until they started looking for the right place. It has to be commercial property in the city of Orting and have a good area for parking and for large trucks bringing supplies to get in and out. They thought they had found the right house to be converted until the appraiser told them it could not appraise near the price the owners needed to get.

The few commercial buildings in town for sale are way above their budget and many people owe more on their homes than today’s economy will allow them to sale for.
