Gladys L. (Weaver) Willard passes on.By: Debbie Weaver Price
August 02, 2010
The most loving lady that ever lived went to be with her Lord at 2 am on August 2nd, 2010 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Gladys L. (Weaver) Willard, born Gladys Louise Smith on December 5th, 1921 in Spokane, WA lived most of her life in Washington state with her husband of 60 years, Oris Weaver. She worked as an RN during WWll and throughout most of her life including as DNS of a nursing home in Kent, WA. She was also the secretary for their Insurance agency in Orting, WA for 10 years where she was known and loved by the town’s people.
Gladys had a wonderful sense of humor and always replied when asked how she was feeling as, “Ornery as Ever!” She always had a smile for everyone and worked so hard to make everyone around her happy. Gladys loved reading and wildlife. She loved feeding the birds and had several bird feeders outside her window at her daughter’s Sprague River ranch. She also loved coming to the barn and watching the new foals be born. Gladys is survived by her 3 children, Lloyd Weaver of West Lafayette, IN, Deborah Price of Sprague River, OR and Brian Weaver of Wolcott, NY, 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren who will love her forever! Graveside services will be held at 1pm on Thursday, August 5th at the Orting, WA cemetery. All who knew and loved her are invited. |
