Tough Loss For Orting Basketball to Start Season

The Orting High School men's basketball season started last night in a non-league game versus Mount Rainer Lutheran with a tough loss, 72-63.

"At one point wec were down 20 points in the third quarter, but made a good run at the end to lose by 9 points." said Tyler Polly, head Basketball Coach.

The Cardinals were lead in scoring by junior guard Willy Sonmore with 25 points.  Senior JT Teuteu added in 15 points in the effort.

"Lucas Harper should make the rest of the season exciting with his “Thread the Needle” passes, so be ready!" added Polly.

The Orting men travel to Rochester this Friday.
