3rd - 8th Grade Volleyball Registration Extended!

We wanted to update everyone on the Orting Parks and Recreation Volleyball League. We have decided to once more extend registration to September 30th in an effort to ensure we get as many girls as possible involved in the volleyball program. We noticed that the registration numbers are down this year compared to last year when CISO had the programs. We wanted to make sure that everyone is aware the volleyball program has been acquired by Orting Parks and Recreation from CISO, here is the portion of the press release from CISO regarding recreation programs:

"CISO is stepping away from offering after-school sports programs. Unfortunately, we will no longer be offering youth sports leagues or clinics through our organization. We have worked in collaboration with the Orting Parks & Recreation Department to ensure the continuation of these sports programs.

As of today Parks and Recreation has 22 girls registered, we need at least 32 to have a league. A recent flyer sent out through the school stated that registration ended the 9th. That flyer was distributed previous to this extension. Please have all your girls tell their friends that registration is extended to the 30th and they can register at City Hall.

Parks and Recreation is also in need of volunteer volleyball coaches. All of the coaches from last year have been contacted and most are busy. As of right now we have one coach that has volunteered their time. If you are interested in coaches please let us know.
