January 30, 2012
The Orting High School Dance Team placed in the WIAA District Playoffs at the Bonney Lake Dance/Drill Invitational on Saturday, January 28th with a score of 205!
The team, led by Captains Katy Leonard-Doll and Jessica Carney and coached by Maureen McNinch, performed a dance piece as marionettes come to life to music by Bar 9. Coach Maureen shares-"I am incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication this team has put into their season, and it is paying off!" The OHS Lady Cardinals will be performing at another dance team invitational at Interlake High School on February 11th and then at Districts at Kentlake High School on March 10th. If they continue to perform well, they will dance at the 1A State Dance Team Competition on March 24th, 2012 in Yakima, WA at the Sundome. This is a first time experience for the whole team and a great finish to their years of dedication to the team for the three seniors on the team, Jessica Carney, Katy Leonard-Doll, and Richelle Marks. Good luck Lady Cardinals! |
