Alice "Peggy" Hudson, of Orting, passed away February 3, 2012, in Puyallup. She was 85 years old.
She was born to Frank and Alice Jolicoeur on September 2, 1926, in Superior, Wi. She married Gilbert Hudson in 1947 and together they moved to Orting in 1965. They purchased a service station, garage and frozen food locker business later known as Gil's Mobil Station. She held a variety of seasonal jobs within the community such as daffodil picking, wreath making and fish tagging. She retired from the Orting School District after five years as a custodian. She loved her music and crafts and keeping in touch with her friends at the Orting Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gil, in 1976. She is survived by her children Sharon (David) Ettenhofer, Brad (Aletha) Hudson, Ramona (Ron) Moan, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. February 9, 2012, at Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church in Orting. Graveside service will follow at the Orting Cemetery. |
