Orting Chocolate Stroll A Sweet Success

The first annual “Orting Chocolate Stroll” is in the books as a sweet success.  Carol Goldstein adapted, from her home town of North Attleboro, MA, a chocolate stroll for Orting; the event was pulled off with the help of Dan Bunker, Lisa Goff, Krista Butler, Heather Auckland and Sam Colorossi.  The purpose of this event was to draw new customers into the places of business throughout downtown Orting.  The businesses used chocolate as a lure for attracting the strollers into their shops.  The rest was left up to the business people for creating sales now and or in the future.

There were 250 tickets sold; 238 packet/maps were picked up; 180 strollers managed to visit all 51 businesses which qualified them for the gift basket drawing at the end of the event.  When it was over Emilie Cook was the winner of the drawing.  You will see her picture in the attachment along with her mother Madonna and Orting’s Daffodil Princess Morgan Butler-Koler.   

The people who bought tickets had a fun afternoon strolling downtown Orting collecting chocolate under favorable skies. The businesses got to meet and greet some 250 plus potential customers with the proceeds of the ticket sales going to The Orting Community Daffodil Float Group for this years Daffodil float.
