FISHING SEASON & PARKING

Fishing Season & Parking

Well, the start of fishing season-parking is fast approaching and I'm sure looking forward to that, again, this year. Every year I can't wait for the first Saturday of September at 4:30am! Car doors slamming, people talking, my dogs barking and barking. The cars lined down the street to my driveway, some even park on the lawn that I mow next to the sidewalk. There's always the best part, picking up the trash! Oh, let's not forget the beer cans and smashed glass bottles. Not to mention when they start parking on the grass behind the skate park and line their cars up back there at the crack of dawn, idoling them and filling our homes with exhaust fumes, and my dogs barking and barking at the people next to my fence line. Maybe this year we'll get lucky and the City Council will decide to assist with no parking signs. Although, I've been pondering the idea this year of opening my 6 foot gated fence and charging for parking like they do at the Puyallup fair, and I know somebody with an esspresso machine who could set up a stand to steal business from poor 'ol Starbucks and the best part of all - a dating service! Yes, that's right. Set up an office right there at the end of my fence, lots of single guys stomping around. How about a Fish for Sale stand! Ya know what they about making lemonade........just my sassy yearly commentary!
