SPEED KILLS ! !

Dear Kristi; I would like to say that the 50mph speed limit signs have always reflected the MAXIMUM legal speed limit; not the minimum ! ! I live right off of SR 162, but south-east of Orting. The maximum speed limit allegedly posted (occasionally) out here is 50mph. In my opinion; THAT IS TOO FAST ! ! I have been around a very long time, have an excellent driving record spread well over a million miles, and consider myself GOOD at determineing a safe speed at which to travel. Also, I have discovered over the years that it makes no different what speed I travel, there will ALWAYS be someone right on my tail pipe wanting to go faster. So, I don't worry about you guys that think I am going to SLOW ! ! Actually, it is my intention to contact all officials that have the authority and try my best to get the maximum speed limit on this side of Orting REDUCED to 40mph. I know, I know ! ! You think that I am an OLD GEEK that should not be allowed to drive because I do not wish to SPEED UP or to comply with YOUR wishes to GO FAST ! ! May I suggest that, God forbid, you have an accident because of driving too fast, and maim or even kill someone or yourself, you may change your mind about speeding and allow more time to get where ever it is that you consider so important.
