The theme for Orting's 16th annual Festival in the Park will be "Travel the Trail to Orting"
Wayne and the Train will be returning with free rides and there will be free horse drawn carriage rides as well. The music and entertainment schedule is new and exciting.
There are several opportunities for local organizations to show their talents on the "Community Stage" which will be in the new north park this year.
Volunteers are needed to help with computer input, organizing, recruiting and raffle acquisitions as well as working on the day of the festival.
There is still some space available for food and general vendors. Local businesses are encouraged to participate by; sponsoring, volunteering, having a booth or contacting the festival coordinator regarding a space outside of thier location.
Planning and information meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday and the 2nd Thursday of each month. Additional Meetings are being planned as the Festival date gets closer.
