MESSAGE FROM THE 49TH

What happened to “less government”?

Why all the new issues of concern?

Across the country, there are concerned groups organizing to find and identify the source of these concerns. Answers are being found in “bits” and “pieces”. My attempt is to bring as many of the pieces together as possible. Lets see how they connect. Is there a common thread being identified? Are certain agendas stoking the fire? Lets bring the issues down to the local level, where we can see more clearly. Hope lies here!

As the 49th Precinct Committee Officer of the 2nd Legislative District, I would like to represent the 49th precinct for another term. I have recieved the indorsement of the Pierce County Councilmen Roger Bush and Dick Muri, together with my County Councilman (and future County Executive), Shawn Bunney, State Rep., Jim McCune, past Councilwoman, State Rep. and future County Assessor/Treasurer Jan Shabro , Marion Hicks, the 2nd District leader and Deryl McCarty, our Pierce County Republican Chairman. I have been actively working on the campaigns of Shawn Bunney, Jim McCune, Jan Shabro, Roger Bush, Dick Muri, Joyce McDonald, for Pierce County Council, Sharon Hanek for State Rep. in the 31 legislative district and in our own 2nd legislative district, Randy Becker for State Senate.

The 49th has hosted several Table Talk dinners, to discus local topics of interest. We just hosted our third annual picnic, FREEDOM ON FIRE! We had guests and politicians from the counties of King, Kitsap, Thurston, Jefferson and Pierce, together with representatives from several concerned, local, state and national organizations. Conversation was great, and the energy high. The underlying concern, by far, was the continuing erosion of the US Constitution, as it relates to private property rights, local control, the increasing number of activist judges and non-governmental organization (NGO’s) that are accountable to no-one.

Please come join in the conversation. Help us to target our collective energy for “Change”. Change, back to those freedoms and values that protected our private property rights, allowed our dreams to become reality, our families to be strong and our country to be great

This is an important election year. Know where your candidates stand on these issues. If we vote in the incumbent, or if we vote in the challenger, we must work together to hold them accountable. Do not let them forget who they are working for. Do not let them relinquish our rights and their responsibilities to any NGO! Do know that your vote dose count!

I have been working hard to bring strong conservative views back to the Republican Party.

I would be honored to represent the 49th precinct once again.

Please vote for me August 19th, 2008

I look forward to hearing from you.

Very Sincerely,

Wendy Birnbaum
