The Save Our Fish Chapter of the Puget Sound Angler have scheduled their second annual Carbon River Clean Up beginning at 9:00am on September 27th.
The group and volunteers will meet at the new Fire Department in Orting at 9:00am with strong support already from the local businesses with Safeway providing water for volunteers, Los Pinos supplying coffee, Work Sport & Outdoors providing donuts, and the City of Orting providing an extra dumpster.
"Last year was the first year and we had a dozen people and filled about 10 garbage bags." said Steve Bagley, a Save Our Fish Member, Orting resident, and pictured above (Left to Right) with Frank Urabeck, Mark Herwick and Bagley). "This year I'm hoping for about 30 people to help out. There is not as much trash as from previous years, but the clean up still needs to be done."
Volunteers can contact Bagley direct at 253-249-2473 or email him at sbagley@centurytel.net.
