ORTING POLICE COLLECTING CELL PHONES

The Orting Police Department has teamed with the Crystal Judson Family Justice Center to collect used cell phones on an on-going basis. The center receives a monetary donation for each phone collected. The phones will also be refurbished and provided to victims of domestic violence for emergency communication.

You may donate your used cell phone at the following locations:

Orting Police Department, 401 Washington Ave SE or Orting City Hall, 110 Train St SE.

All cell phones regardless of age or condition, will be accepted. Phones should be deactivated prior to donation. Cell phones contain many toxins and can be hazardous to the environment if they end up in land fills.

The Crystal Judson Family Justice Center (FJC) serves the needs of domestic violence victims and their children by providing comprehensive services in one, central, safe location. Clients have access to civil legal support, protection orders, DSHS assistance, spiritual support, military advocacy, victim support in criminal cases, safety planning, housing, transportation, and other emergency assistance.
