ORTING PUMPKIN FEST TODAY & TOMORROW!

Perfectly timed to true Fall weather here in the Orting valley, the Orting Pumpkin Fest returns to Orting City Park today and tomorrow.

With so much of the season on display and to be a part of, the following Schedule of Events should help you navigate many a Jack-O-Lantern and homespun craft from artisans from around our area.

Our Orting News Poll above shows a great turnout, but a lack of information and the following schedule of events has been provided:

PUMPKIN PALS PARADE: Saturday @ 10:30am
The Pumpkin Pals Parade became in instant treasure from the moment conceived. For kids ages 2 to 12. Registration for the parade begins at 9:30am in front of Route 66 Pizza and there are prizes awarded in three age groups. You can always pick up a copy of the rules and registration for your child at Frontier Bank, Safeway, Key Bank, or Route 66 Pizza all in Orting.

We'll then parade the kids together in full costumes and the spectacle is as fun to watch as it is for the kids to have fun in.

SECOND ANNUAL PUMPKIN GLOW!
Bring your pumpkins to the City park gazebo by Noon Saturday because adults and kids can enter carved pumpkins for judging. A $3.00 entry donation is a fundraiser for Orting High School Project Graduation. People's Choice voting for prizes to the winning contestants.

All pumpkins will be lit simultaneously at dusk on Saturday so make sure you come and enjoy this impressive picture taking opportunity.

The Orting Pumpkin Fest will feature lots of live entertainment, arts and craft booths, food and beverage vendors serving at least one item with pumpkin as the main ingredient, a car-truck-tractor-motorcycle show, pumpkin games for the kids, a pumpkin pyramid, rides, and many a memory making photo opportunity for the whole family, young and old alike. They will even be a fun run on the Foot Hills Trail, exhibitors and more!
