Comment #8: Gratzer Landing can be great for Orting. The citizens of Orting need to support their buisnesses. If you want to save on that $4.00+ a gallon of gas and the long line on 162, shop local. We won't have empty store fronts if Orting spends their money here and not on South Hill.

Comment #7: Depends on what comes in and if Orting people will support it. Let's hope it's not junky stores, but stores that carry goods we don't have to drive to Bonney Lake or Puyallup to find!

Comment #6: I find it rather hard to believe that this is a good use of the Gratzer property. It would appear that our community does not provide the demand to attract sustainable business, as witnessed by the fact that we have a number of empty empty retail spaces as it is. The strip mall by the Shell station. Why do we need more?

Comment #5: whom ever is financing this fiasco obviously hasn't been to orting must be a another ambitious Californian. I count 4 empty office spaces (once starbucks leaves) in the new building they just built plus a few more around safeway. If you build it they will come apparently isn't working in Orting residentially and commercially. I shop locally and eat locally as often as possible.

Comment #4: That remains to be seen. What businesses are being approached to come move into the new area? What will they do for the downtown area of Orting? Will they infact bring people to Orting or will this give one more reason for people to stop short of Ortings "Town Center". How will the planned park effect the maintanence and improvement for the 3 existing parks? What will the trafic impact be? Who will pay for the traffic/highway improvements? Where has the informatin from the meetings hosted by the city council been published for citizens to read? Maybe the decision regarding will Gratzer Landing be good for Orting is undetermined due to lack of information.

Comment #3: It will be if it can be secured with fine businesses that attract Orting residents. Simple as that.

Comment #2: I think that it is ridiculous that you keep on nagging constantly about coach miller. You have nothing better to do but complain about his coaching habbits. things dont happen over night it takes time. be patient.
