Firefighters Extinguish Fire Quickly

Utility Room Fire

Orting, Wash. – At 0500 Orting Valley Fire and Rescue along with units from East Pierce Fire and Rescue responded to a reported house fire in the 17800 BLK of 214th Ave E. The first arriving crews were able to extinguish the majority of the fire, additional crews assisted in making sure the fire had not extended to the rest of the house.

The fire was isolated to the utility room of the house. Home owners were able to evacuate and no injuries were reported. Fire was under investigation by Pierce County Fire Marshalls Office at the time of this release.
